NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI - the next era of computing. NVIDIA is a ?learning machine? that constantly evolves by adapting to new opportunities that are hard to solve, that only we can tackle, and that matter to the world. This is our life?s work, to amplify human creativity and intelligence. Make the choice to join us today.

The Thermal Solutions Team at NVIDIA works at the confluence of many critical product elements and is seeking an experienced engineer who will be responsible for empowering NVIDIAs creative forces by building a bridge from thermal technologies to product applications through exploration, thermal solutions designs, testing, characterization, and prototyping activities to enable the wide range of revolutionary new NVIDIA products.

As part of a multi-functional team, your task would be to create and develop products in support of all business segments with focus likely on one area including but not limited to Desktops, Servers, Automotive, and NVIDIA Shield products with a general focus on improving thermal aspects of product design. A high level of experience in technology development and/or design related to complex thermal optimization, would be of interest. Be an integral member of a collaborative team which defines and develops thermal solutions from concept through production working with multi-functional Product Development teams and overseas partners. Your proven excellent communication skills, strong thermal and validation engineering technical background with product development knowledge including thermal engineering and related manufacturing processes, are important.

What you'll be doing:

As a team, we support all products NVIDIA develops. Your contribution will be towards the development, specifications, design, and manufacturing implementation from package to system level thermal solutions through complete systems including implications in potentially all products but focusing on a specific product area.

The goals and objectives for this is carried out using state-of-the-art methods and technologies, analytical and computational analysis, and laboratory validation of prototypes. These methods and processes are developed within the NVIDIA cross functional thermal team.

Part of your responsibility is investigating relevant technologies through the filter of product design concepts, driving relevant analysis and trade-offs aligned with product goals, and contributing to thermal solution product design from beginning to end (i.e. conceptualization to production).

You will take all our best knowledge and infuse product designs with the optimum contributions for thermal solutions.

We challenge the status quo and the leading edge of computing. Your design of new thermal solutions is essential, so as a company, we can anticipate and enable product goals.

We build physical prototype assemblies and instrument those assemblies for testing. We carry out testing, summarize and correlate data, modify, and improve our systems.

As a team, one of our responsibilities is to build test reports and summaries, and generally document your efforts to broaden the knowledge of your team and the company.

We are continuously seeking ways to learn and improve from lessons learned, into building better culture, infrastructures, and processes.

What we need to see:

? This position requires the ability to visualize and clarify product needs from fundamental concepts through system considerations to ensure optimized designs.
? Your strong working knowledge of FEA/CFD theory, and general analysis tools related to heat transfer including excellent knowledge of at least one thermal analysis SW (e.g. IcePak, FloTHERM, Fluent) is crucial.
? Your proven have hands-on experience and proficiency in thermal evaluation of hardware to provide relevant and data driven product design suggestions (i.e. thermocouple placement, obtaining readings using automated data acquisition, assembly and tear downs) are required.
? Our team covers the product end to end, and we assess manufacturing and other supply partners. You should have experience in volume manufacturing, working with overseas manufacturers, experience in leading outside resources, component suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
? BSME minimum and 8+ years meaningful experience in product design and thermal technology development would be a plus.
? You have excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
? You are comfortable and enjoy working with dynamic and ever evolving environments
? You are a meticulous organizer with an ever positive, can-do attitude
? Demonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to highly sticky problems
